He was awarded two consecutive Academy Awards for Best Actor for starring as the gay lawyer who suffers from AIDS in Philadelphia (1993) as well as the main character in Forrest Gump (1994). [8] Hanks worked with Steven Spielberg for five films: Saving Private Ryan (2002), Catch Me If You Can(2002), The Terminal (2004) and Bridge of Spies (2015).
