Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka. She is an actress and model, who has primarily worked in the Indian film industry. In 2006, her Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also won by her. Fernandez, who is of Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial origin was born in Canada, and spent the majority of her growing up in Bahrain. Her degree is in mass communications at the University of Sydney. She worked for many years as a journalist on television within Sri Lanka before she entered the modeling world. In 2006, she was crowned as Miss Universe and became one the most well-known models from Sri Lanka. In 2009, during her professional trip to India she landed the role as Jasmine in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin'. In 2011 she was cast in the part of Priya in the role of the female lead of "Murder 2". Fernandez's career flourished after the film's critically and commercial success. Her roles have since included films like Housefull 2 and 3, 'Race 2', 'Definition of Fear' as well as "Judwaa 2". She has won multiple awards and is a brand representative for several global companies.
