Kari Wuhrer was born on April 28 the 28th of April, 1967. She is an American musician and actor. She began her acting career when she was a teenager. She is most known for playing Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders as well in the role of the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the thriller-comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born within Brookfield Connecticut as her mother was Karin Noble and worked as a pay clerk as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. She is the mother of three sisters and brothers. In her teens She performed in nightclubs, sneaking out of the family home to perform. From the Wooster School at the age of 13 She began her studies in the art of drama. After that, she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, under the famous teacher Uta Hagen.
