Kelly

Kelly Clarkson, an American actor, singer and songwriter who took home the American Idol competition in its initial season. She was America's Sweetheart. The win was more than a major success, but it earned her a recording contract for numerous albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. Since then, she's released many studio albums. Three of which topped the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly fell short of the top spot. Her name is one of the top artists to have emerged from American Idol. In the course of her career it was evident that she experimented in new styles and themes of music. She often co-wrote songs with her husband to express her feelings. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal prowess, she received critical acclaim as well as numerous accolades. She was awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. She has also appeared in movies and on television. She is also the writer of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charitable organizations.
